TLDR

Cheqroom is a Ghent-based equipment management platform with $15.3M from Level Equity, used by teams at Amazon, Google, and Airbnb to track and manage shared physical assets across their organizations.

Overview

Founded in 2014 in Ghent, Cheqroom provides a cloud-based Asset Operations Platform for managing shared, high-value equipment. Organizations use it to handle check-in/check-out workflows for cameras, computers, tools, vehicles, and other shared gear, replacing spreadsheets and manual tracking with a purpose-built system featuring QR scanning, availability calendars, utilization reporting, and maintenance logs.

In March 2022, Cheqroom closed a $15M Series B led by Level Equity, bringing total funding to $15.3M. Level Equity's investment funded product expansion and international growth, including new offices in the United States and Spain. In June 2024, Jim Hite was appointed CEO with Level Equity's backing. Founder Vincent Theeten transitioned to Chief Strategy Officer.

Enterprise clients including Amazon, Google, and Airbnb use Cheqroom for equipment governance across large distributed teams. The platform is relevant wherever organizations share expensive or regulated physical assets that require controlled access, utilization tracking, and maintenance records.
