Chift
TLDR
Chift is a Brussels-based unified API platform that enables SaaS companies to integrate with accounting, POS, e-commerce, and invoicing tools through a single connection, having raised EUR 2.3M in seed funding in 2024.
Overview
Founded in 2022 by Gauthier Henroz (CEO), Henry Hertoghe (CTO), and Matthieu Hertoghe (Head of Engineering), Chift focuses specifically on the financial software integration layer. Rather than trying to cover every possible category, Chift chose to go deep on tools that generate financial data, including accounting software, POS systems, e-commerce platforms, and invoicing tools.
The positioning has attracted a strong early customer base of Fintech and SaaS companies that need their products to connect with the tools their customers already use. Early clients include Pennylane, Agicap, Pleo, Mollie, and Qonto. Investors in Chift's seed round included Entourage (Pieterjan Bouten's fund), Shapers (Philippe Teixeira da Mota's fund), Seeder Fund, and several business angels.
In June 2024, Chift raised EUR 2.3M in seed funding, which it plans to use to double the team and expand its connector library across European financial software ecosystems.
