TLDR

Lansweeper is a Merelbeke-based IT asset intelligence platform with $159M in funding from Insight Partners, used by IT and security teams at 9,000+ organizations including Lockheed Martin and Red Bull to discover and manage every device, user, and software in their environment.

Overview

Founded in 2004 by Geert Moernaut and headquartered in Merelbeke (near Ghent), Lansweeper provides agentless Technology Asset Intelligence (TAI): software that automatically discovers and inventories all IT, OT, IoT, and cloud assets across an organization's environment. The platform produces a continuously updated database of hardware, software licenses, users, and network topology, serving IT operations, security, and compliance teams.

Lansweeper operated as a bootstrapped company for over a decade before Belgian private equity firm Dovesco acquired it in 2018. In June 2021, Insight Partners made a EUR 130M minority investment (total round equivalent to $159M), giving Lansweeper capital to accelerate product development and international go-to-market.

With around 400 employees and customers including Lockheed Martin, Red Bull, and the University of Cambridge, Lansweeper is one of Flanders' most established SaaS businesses. CEO Dave Goossens has led the company through its scale-up phase following the Insight investment.
