👋Hey Chip Designers, Explore Open-Source EDA Tools on the EuroCDP Cloud Platform! The open-source EDA ecosystem is evolving rapidly—but selecting the right tools for a chip design project remains challenging. We’re here to help. To support European designers in startups, SMEs, and large enterprises, EuroCDP is publishing an Open EDA Tool Gap Analysis and Recommendations covering digital, analog, mixed-signal, RF, and photonics design. The report assesses the current maturity of open-source EDA tools, highlights their strengths and limitations, and identifies the most important gaps for future development. It serves both as a guide for users evaluating open-source solutions and as input for strengthening the European open-source EDA ecosystem. The recommended tools are also being made available for evaluation through the EuroCDP cloud platform. A cloud-based test environment is already available to the first users, with additional tools and PDKs being integrated on a regular basis. ⁉️Are you a designer interested in these tools?
