Token cost is a number every AI team already tracks. It maps onto something data architects and engineers already know intuitively: context quality determines output quality.
That's the argument behind this session, "My tokens, your tokens, her tokens and no tokens at all." Most of the current conversation about AI in data engineering focuses on the intelligence layer. This talk makes the case that the foundation underneath it matters more: better foundations mean better AI, lower inference cost, and stronger governance. That foundation gets built at the data vault integration layer, not inside the model.
If you're an architect or engineer fielding AI tooling decisions on live projects right now, this gives you a working vocabulary for the trade-off.
Patrick Van Deven (CEO) and Jonas De Keuster (VP Solution Engineering) are hosting.
Tuesday, August 18. 12:00 to 1:00 PM ET | 6:00 to 7:00 PM CEST.
