Every event audience is different, and that's the quiet challenge behind every exhibition plan.
A general trade show crowd wants breadth. A customer-specific day wants depth on one workflow. Internal visitors need context. Students need fundamentals. One booth, four very different expectations.
Shipping and floor space force compromises long before the doors open. A flagship bioreactor might resonate with process engineers but say little to students unfamiliar with scale-up economics. A modular platform explained in depth internally often gets reduced to a brochure at a public show. And once the booth closes, most visitors leave with a photo, not a memory worth repeating.
Extended reality changes that math. A single digital twin, built once, can be reconfigured for any audience: full portfolio for a broad show, one deep-dive workflow for a technical customer day, simplified fundamentals for a student group, all without re-shipping a single crate.
Because the experience is spatial and interactive rather than just displayed, it also tends to stick, addressing the "forgettable booth" problem that static setups and slide decks rarely solve on their own.
The real question for equipment suppliers isn't physical versus virtual anymore. It's how to design one asset flexible enough to meet every audience it encounters.
