On 18 July 2026, the Belgian Council of Ministers approved a preliminary draft law that would complement the mandatory B2B e-invoicing regime in force since 1 January 2026.
The proposal would introduce the near-real-time electronic reporting of specified invoice data to the Belgian tax administration from 1 January 2028.
