What to do at your first day after a holiday...? Add a new language style into Clonable: 'Pirate'. 🏴☠️🦜. 😂
I was testing our new beta feature: Style Prompts. I needed to know if our style prompts actually listens to extreme instructions or if it just politely ignores them. Tested it on my holiday house website in the Ardennes.
This was the prompt I added in the Clonable backend:
'Translate the text as if you are a rough, rum-drinking pirate captain addressing your crew. Use heavy pirate slang and describe the holiday home and its surroundings as a pirate hideout and a place to bury treasure.'
Jokes about wooden legs aside, this feature is what I have been waiting for a long time. It means you can now completely change the "vibe" of your website per language. The branding and the style so to speak. Our recent update 'context questions' made the system understand the original text way better, and now with this update you can change the desired output easier.
Want your German site to be ultra-formal, but your Spanish site to sound like a warm, laid-back summer evening? You can just tell the engine to do exactly that.
My pirate test proved it works perfectly. The AI completely understood the assignment. The only tiny problem in this case was that it got a bit too enthusiastic and did write titles that are about two paragraphs long. So, we’ll have to fine-tune that before we let it loose on the seven seas...
