At the Exploit4InnoMat Validation Site in Lavrio, a continuous monitoring system is supporting the thermal assessment of innovative building materials under real-site conditions.
Heat-flux and temperature sensors are combined with weather-station measurements, including solar irradiance, ambient temperature, humidity and wind conditions. The collected data are visualised through Grafana dashboards, enabling side-by-side monitoring of reference and test systems.
The dashboards provide insights into:
• external surface response to changing weather conditions
• internal temperature and humidity variations
• heat-transfer trends through the building envelope
• the response of different material configurations over time
This monitoring approach helps transform on-site measurements into valuable evidence for the assessment and further development of more energy-efficient and climate-resilient building solutions.
