👀 46% of Gen Z would rather search on social than on Google. A month ago, Google admitted it and quietly started tracking your creators as "search real estate". Since July 7, its Search Console reports how your content on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X performs inside Google Search. The actual queries leading people to those posts. Look past the tooling for a second. Google is now treating creator content like search-ranking content. Same category as your own website. And that changes what influencer marketing is for. It's not a top-of-funnel awareness line anymore. It's a discovery channel. When 67% of 18-to-24s search on Instagram, the creators have become the search results. But here's the part nobody's talking about: Google only shows you one sliver — the bit that surfaces in Google Search.
