From bread to cheese to wine, Colruyt Group Fine Food gets Belgian favorites onto the table every day. Staying the Group's trusted supplier across 10+ plants takes more than craftsmanship. As part of its Fine Food Tomorrow strategy, Fine Food set out to become the default supplier for every Colruyt Group format. That meant tackling a real challenge: 10+ plants each running their own processes, limited ability to share best practices across sites, and a shopfloor still leaning heavily on paper. Their answer: FFOX, Fine Food Operational Excellence, their most ambitious transformation yet. Together with delaware BeLux as their partner, Fine Food built one digital backbone connecting planning, ERP, and shopfloor execution: 📐 SAP IBP for long-term planning and forecasting 🧾 SAP S/4HANA (including EWM and VIM) for core ERP transactions 🏭 SAP Digital Manufacturing for execution on the production floor The guiding principle: adopt over adapt. A common template avoided unnecessary customization while still leaving room for flexibility across product divisions, so the setup could scale as new plants come online. Just as important, training and change support happened close to the shopfloor, led by Fine Food's own people, which helped build trust and drive real adoption. The first go-lives already show the impact: zero disruption to stores, stronger traceability, and simpler day-to-day workflows, paving the way to a paperless, future-ready production chain. As Gunther Uyttenhove, Director Fine Food & Farming at Colruyt Group, puts it: "Our responsibility is to combine the pride and skill of our people with modern efficiency.
