The right drug. The right patient. The right time. And then… what?
This is such an important study.
We invest enormously in selecting and developing the right therapies. Yet their real-world effectiveness still depends on something remarkably fundamental, whether treatment is actually taken over time.
The finding that sustained high adherence was associated with 𝗮 𝟮𝟳% 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 puts that into perspective.
But the bigger message may be this: 𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰.
So perhaps the next generation of precision medicine should not only personalize treatment, it should continuously understand treatment implementation too.
