How can Europe ensure a platform economy that supports innovation and growth while protecting rights and strengthening accountability? At RAID 2026, our panel THE PLATFORM ECONOMY – Innovation, Growth, Accountability and Rights will bring together policymakers, regulators, legal experts and industry to examine the next phase of platform governance.
The discussion will explore the impact of the DSA, Online Safety Act and GDPR; how platforms enable SMEs, creators and startups to scale across borders; and whether Europe’s drive for simplification can deliver greater legal certainty without weakening safeguards.
It will also consider the governance models that could help strike the right balance between innovation, accountability and effective regulation at scale.
