Peppol e-invoicing is now mandatory, but compliance doesn't automatically mean efficient invoice processing.
For many organisations, Peppol has been high on the agenda. And rightly so. Mandatory electronic invoicing is changing the way invoices are exchanged.
However, receiving invoices digitally is only one part of the process. Every invoice still needs to be:
✔ Validated
✔ Approved
✔ Processed
✔ Paid
Becoming Peppol compliant doesn't automatically make those steps more efficient.
Peppol was a deadline. Process optimisation is the opportunity where long-term improvements begin.
This is the perfect moment to look beyond compliance and evaluate how your Accounts Payable process performs as a whole.
How has the transition to mandatory e-invoicing been for your organisation so far?
