In most ESR feet, one spring is expected to provide support, stability, adaptation and propulsion at the same time. That's a difficult balance to achieve.
That's why, at Lunaris, we split the roles :
- The aluminium structure provides strength and stability
- The composite spring provides flexibility and energy return
Instead of asking one structure to do everything, each one does what it does best. In the end, it's a lot like the human ankle :
sometimes stiff,
sometimes flexible,
depending on what the movement requires.
Because a natural gait isn't about being rigid or flexible, it's about knowing when to be both.
