The week after a major release is usually when things settle down. Not this time. Between Aug 13–20, the community merged 47 PRs, closed 48 issues, and saw contributions from 10 people. Apache Hop 2.19 is out, and development on the next release is already well underway. A few highlights from this week's work: 🔹 dbt Core integration is now available. 🔹 A new AWS Secrets Manager variable resolver lets you reference secrets directly from AWS Secrets Manager. 🔹 The new Multi Mapping transform makes it easier to work with multiple mappings in a single step. 🔹 The content editor now supports Markdown with live preview. 🔹 Find and Replace has been added to the explorer content editor, and named table views are now available in TableView. 🔹 The Git perspective gained support for renaming and deleting remote branches, and a merge-related issue that could wipe the Git index has been fixed. 🔹 A new Hop environment configurator provides a simpler way to manage environment variables without editing configuration files by hand. There were also plenty of fixes behind the scenes. JSON Input now handles null values correctly, Salesforce Output no longer reports false validation errors, and syntax highlighting on Windows is working as expected again. 10 contributors in a single week is a great way to start the next development cycle.
