Germany’s fibre market is reaching a decisive turning point: execution now matters just as much as expansion.
In its recent statement on the reform of the Telecommunications Act, BREKO Bundesverband Breitbandkommunikation e.V. called for more practical conditions to simplify and accelerate fibre deployment.
Its latest available market analysis, as of 30 June 2025, shows the challenge:
• 52.8% Homes Passed
• 27.3% Homes Connected
Passing a property with fibre is only the beginning. Real value comes when that home is connected, activated and delivering a reliable customer experience.
