Mixing these two up is easily one of the most expensive mistakes in workplace design.
Here is why putting acoustic panels on a wall won't stop your neighbor from hearing your confidential meeting:
Soundproofing blocks sound from traveling between rooms. It relies on structural mass, building materials, and airtight seals.
Acoustic Treatment (panels, tiles, felt) shapes how sound behaves inside a room, controlling reverb and echo to improve clarity.
Absorbing sound isn't the same as blocking it. Knowing which problem you’re solving before you design will save your budget and your soundscape.
