TLDR

AppTweak is a Brussels-based App Store Optimization (ASO) platform used by over 1,500 mobile app publishers to improve their discoverability and download volume on the App Store and Google Play.

Overview

Founded in 2014 by Sebastien Dellis and Olivier Verdin, AppTweak started as a side project called "The ASO Toolbox" that generated instant ASO reports with actionable recommendations for apps on the App Store. The founders saw an opportunity to build professional-grade tooling for app publishers as the mobile app economy matured and competition for organic discovery intensified.

The company reached profitability in 2017 and grew entirely on product revenue before raising any significant outside capital. Between 2014 and 2021, AppTweak reported 957% growth. Clients include major mobile gaming companies like Miniclip and Jam City, across both gaming and non-gaming app categories.

In April 2021, AppTweak raised $22 million in a Series B round from its early investor Media Group Rossel. The company used the capital to expand internationally in EMEA and APAC, develop the platform further, and build out managed services for enterprise clients.
