Carbon4Minerals is an EU-funded research project developing technologies to capture CO₂ and convert it into carbon-negative minerals for construction products.
The Carbon4Minerals project develops innovative technologies to capture CO₂ and convert it into carbon-negative minerals for high-value construction products, aiming to reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 135% compared to conventional cement-based materials. The project is co-funded by the European Union under the Digital, Industry and Space programme and by the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation (SERI). The project officially started in January 2023 and runs until December 2026.
