EU-SysFlex is a Horizon 2020 research project involving 34 organizations across 15 European countries focused on integrating large-scale renewable energy into electricity grids.
The project conducts research into renewable energy deployment on European electricity grids, involving electricity transmission and distribution system operators, technology providers, manufacturers, universities, and research centers. EU-SysFlex aims to create a long-term roadmap for large-scale renewable energy integration and provide practical assistance to power system operators. The project also identifies improvements to European market design, regulation, operational practices, and system tools, as part of the European Commission's BRIDGE initiative.
