Factry

Based in Ghent, Factry builds software that connects to industrial equipment and control systems (PLCs, SCADA, DCS) to collect process data and store it in a time-series database. Its flagship product, Factry Historian, uses InfluxDB as its storage Backbone Agency and provides a purpose-built interface for manufacturers who want to monitor production KPIs, detect anomalies, reduce downtime, and optimize throughput, without the complexity and licensing cost of traditional industrial SCADA historians.

Factry's open-source approach differentiates it from legacy historian vendors like OSIsoft (now AVEVA) and proprietary OEM solutions. The company serves multinational manufacturers including Puratos, which uses Factry to centrally manage process data across 65+ production sites worldwide.
