Scilife

Scilife builds an electronic quality management system (eQMS) for the life sciences sector. The platform covers document management, quality events, change control, risk management, quality KPIs, training, CAPA, audits, equipment management, design and development, and controlled printing and reconciliation. It serves pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, healthcare logistics and medicinal cannabis companies. The first customer was onboarded in 2019 and the company rebranded as Scilife in 2022. A US subsidiary followed in 2023. The EMEA office is at Kantersteen 47 in Brussels; the US office is in New York. On June 6, 2024 Scilife announced a strategic growth investment from Five Elms Capital. The amount was not disclosed; the transaction involved a transfer of shares to Five Elms Capital, with existing shareholders partially rolling over. On September 2, 2024 Sebastien Sepierre, previously Managing Director at Fourth and earlier at IBM, was appointed CEO. Heitbrink remains on the Board of Directors as co-founder. At the time of the CEO change Scilife had more than 200 customers and more than 70 employees. The company now reports more than 90 employees, more than 240 customers and more than 22,500 users, and is ISO 9001 certified. Named customers include Novartis, Biocartis, Yusen Logistics, Polpharma, Pendulum, Qualiphar, Coriolis Pharma, Idevax and Amnovis.
