THEROS aims to modernise verification of organic and geographical indications food products and prevent adulterations through technological innovations including Earth Observation, photonics, Internet of Things, DNA authenticity methods, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. The approach includes low-cost, digital and scalable solutions coupled with blockchain-enhanced traceability and dynamic digital product passports for improved security and transparency in the food supply chain.
