Overview

Visma, the Norwegian software conglomerate that has built a portfolio of European B2B software companies through acquisition, purchased Silverfin for EUR 300M. Silverfin provides cloud-based accounting workflow software used by accountancy firms across Europe.

The EUR 300M price tag made it one of the most significant exits in the Belgian accounting and financial software sector. Silverfin had been backed by Smartfin and other Belgian investors before the exit.

The deal followed Teamleader's acquisition by Visma in June 2022, reinforcing the Norwegian group's strategy of building a pan-European SME software suite through Belgian acquisitions.
