
Alain Moreau
Alain Moreau is the Chief Executive Officer of MeDirect Belgium, a role he took up in March 2023. He is based in Belgium.
Between 2020 and 2023 he worked as an impact entrepreneur with Farming for Climate. Before that he spent two decades at Deutsche Bank, where he was Chief Investment Officer for Belgium from 1999 to 2005, Chief Operating Officer for Belgium from 2005 to 2009, CEO Belgium from 2009 to 2019 and, in parallel, Global Head of Investment Products and Insurances from 2012 to 2016. From 2015 to 2019 he sat on the supervisory board of DWS Investment GmbH, formerly Deutsche Bank Asset Management, and served on a consultative working group of the European Securities and Markets Authority. He joined Deutsche Bank from Crédit Lyonnais Belgium, where he headed financial engineering from 1995 to 1999, and had earlier been a junior lecturer in finance at the Université de Namur from 1993 to 1995.
Moreau holds a Master of Engineering in physics and studied business administration at the Université catholique de Louvain. He followed a financial products programme at INSEAD in 1998 and the DB International Leadership Program at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business in 2002 and 2003.
