Alexander Bievre
Alexander Bievre is the chief executive of CIOC Energy, a role he has held since September 2023, and is based in Brussels. He has also been chief executive of CIOC since June 2012, and in August 2017 he co-founded Sentinel Tec. In April 2024 he joined the board of Lannoo Publishers.
He began his career at Bekaert, where he worked as a business analyst from May 2010 to June 2012.
Bievre studied history at KU Leuven from 2004 to 2006 and completed a bachelor's degree in the subject at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2007. He then spent a year at Anhui Normal University, gaining a certificate in Chinese language, before returning to KU Leuven for a master's degree in economic policy in 2009. In 2009 and 2010 he was a general scholar in business and management at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management.
