
Alexander Stevens
Alexander Stevens is the founder and CEO of Motion, a company he started in December 2025. He is based in Belgium. Since August 2025 he has also been investment director at Volta and a venture partner at Planet A Ventures, and he has been a business angel with Amal Ventures since March 2021.
From March 2021 until August 2025 he was founder and CEO of Position Green. Before that he was a policy officer at the European Commission from March 2019 to February 2021, and an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP from March 2016 to February 2018. Earlier he was a trainee at the European Central Bank in 2015, an investment banking summer analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2014, and an intern in the Office of the Prosecutor at the ICTY in 2010.
Stevens holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School and an M.Sc. in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford. He completed an LL.M. at the Université libre de Bruxelles, including an Erasmus exchange in law at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, and took the European Baccalaureate at the European School of Brussels I.
