Allen Gardner

Allen Gardner is chief technology officer at Redwire Space, a role he has held since September 2022. He is based in San Diego.

Before joining Redwire, Gardner spent five years as chief technology officer at Skydweller Aero, from July 2017 to September 2022. He was chief architect at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems from December 2013 to June 2017, having earlier worked there as an aeronautical engineer between July 2003 and October 2006. In the intervening years he was chief engineer at Lockheed Martin, formerly AME unmanned air systems, from October 2006 to December 2013.

Gardner studied mechanical and aerospace engineering at Utah State University, graduating with a BS in 2001, and went on to take an MS in aerospace engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, completing it in 2003.
