
Amanda Philpott
Amanda Philpott is the founder and chief executive of eargym, which she started in May 2020. She is based in the United Kingdom. From September 2019 to June 2020 she founded a company at ZINC.
Philpott spent much of her career in the NHS. From January 1991 to January 2004 she held various NHS management roles in hospitals and in primary and community care settings, and from January 2004 to September 2008 she was executive director of strategy. After a year as managing director of Quance Cormack Limited, she returned to the NHS in September 2009, serving successively as deputy chief executive, chief executive, managing director, executive director of strategy and provider development, and, from October 2012 until April 2019, chief officer. She was also an elected board member of NHS Clinical Commissioners from January 2014 to April 2019.
She studied psychology and sociology at Oxford Brookes University and took an MBA at the School of Business and Law, University of Brighton.
