Anne-Laure Van Der Wielen

Anne-Laure Van Der Wielen is the CEO of 2030 and is based in Brussels, a role she has held since October 2020.

Before that she worked at SOS FAIM Belgique, first as chargée d'information et d'éducation from May to December 2016 and then, from August 2017 to October 2020, as a project manager covering global education strategy, monitoring and evaluation, and citizen engagement. In between she was advocacy coordination assistant at the Coalition Against Hunger in 2017.

Earlier roles included strategy and project management consultant at Kisany Social Enterprise, research project manager at Harvard University, EU project manager for child protection at the Danish Refugee Council, monitoring and evaluation consultant at the Mairie de Goma, project assistant at Save the Children UK and project assistant at Arigatou International. She was communication manager at Festival Amani from December 2013 to September 2018, and co-founded the festival in September 2015, serving on its board as treasurer and co-chairwoman until October 2020.

She holds a master's degree in international relations from the Université catholique de Louvain and bachelor's degrees in political science and in sociology and anthropology from UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles.
