Overview

Kupisiewicz founded LASEA in 1999 directly out of his studies at the University of Liege to address the growing demand for precision laser processes. The company pioneered femtosecond laser applications in manufacturing from 2003 onward and has built a portfolio of over 100 laser technology patents. LASEA employs around 110 people and has offices at the Liege Science Park as well as in Mons, Bordeaux, San Diego, and Biel. The company received a EUR 10 million private equity investment to accelerate its international expansion.
