Axel Palmaers
Axel Palmaers is the founder and chief executive of cooperlink, a company he has led since March 2017. He is based in Seraing.
Before that he was manager of smart building technologies at Blue for home from June 2014 to August 2017, and from March 2010 to August 2017 he worked at BIPT - IBPT as a senior analyst and project manager for the Belgian telecom regulator. He began his career in electronics design, first as a design engineer trainee at Philips Consumer Electronics from December 2005 to September 2006, then as an analog design engineer at Melexis until August 2008, and as an analog and mixed-signal design engineer at AnSem from September 2008 to March 2010.
Palmaers studied electronics at the Institut Gramme of HELMo, completing a master in industrial sciences in 2004, followed by a master in applied science at the University of Liège and a master in microelectronics, specialising in RF and telecoms, at Eindhoven University of Technology. He obtained a master in management science from HEC Liège in 2010.
