Bart Baestroey

Bart Baestroey is a managing director and co-founder of NGIS - Wireless, which he co-founded in July 2013. He is based in Zaventem. From July 2013 to September 2014 he was also chief technology officer of TechMax Group (B.lite Telecom & MAC Telecom).

Before that he spent five years at Huawei, joining in March 2008 as wireless product sales manager for the Benelux and serving as key account solution director from January 2010 until June 2013.

Baestroey began his career at Orange in April 1996 as a GSM cellular optimisation engineer, going on to lead GSM cellular design projects, head the 3G cellular team from 2000 to 2003, and work as a network solutions development project leader. He left in January 2004 for Softbank Mobile, where he was a senior associated consultant, and returned to Orange as head of project from January 2005 to February 2008.

He studied electronics and ICT at Katholieke Hogeschool from 1992 to 1995.
