
Bart De Ketelaere
Bart De Ketelaere is a co-founder of Effex, a role he has held since June 2023, and is based in Antwerp. Since September 2006 he has also been a research manager at the Catholic University Leuven, where his career began: he was a PhD student there from October 1997 to December 2002 and a postdoctoral researcher from January 2003 to August 2006. Between March 2013 and November 2019 he was a co-founder of Porphyrio.
He completed a PhD in industrial statistics at KU Leuven, finishing in 2002, and in parallel took a master in biostatistics at Hasselt University between 1998 and 2002. He earned a master of science in bio-ingenieurswetenschappen at KU Leuven from October 1994 to June 1997, following a bachelor in bio-engineering at the University of Antwerp from 1992 to 1994. He attended Sint Jan Berchmanscollege in Antwerp from 1986 to 1992, in the Latijn-Wetenschappen stream.
