Bart Deweirdt
Bart Deweirdt is a co-founder and co-owner of lexiq, a company he started in November 2021. He is based in Gent and states expertise in localisation, teamwork, subtitling and audiodescription.
Before founding lexiq, he spent two years at Iyuno Media Group as an account manager for local TV clients, from October 2019 to November 2021. He had joined BTI Studios in November 2009, working there as a subtitler, subtitling editor and client manager until October 2019, and holding the role of key account manager for local clients during his final year. Earlier, he was a subtitler and subtitling editor at RMM - Picstory from March 2006 to November 2009, and a subtitler at VTV from September 2000 to February 2006.
He studied at Mercator Hogeschool Gent from 1996 to 2000, obtaining a licentiate degree in language interpretation and translation.
