Bart Eestermans
Bart Eestermans is the founder and chief executive of BePowered, which he founded in June 2012. He is based in Antwerp.
He was a lector at Hoger Instituut der Kempen from September 2008 to August 2019, and a researcher and lector at Thomas More-hogeschool from 2006 to August 2017.
Eestermans studied at KU Leuven in the Faculty of Medicine from 1996 to 1998, then electronics and telecommunication at Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen from 1998 to 2001. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in industrial science, electronics engineering and ICT at Groep T - Internationale Hogeschool Leuven between 2001 and 2003, followed by a Master of Science in industrial sciences, electronics engineering and ICT at Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen in 2003 and 2004. In 2015 and 2016 he completed a postgraduate programme in entrepreneurship and innovation at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences.
