Bastien Van Wylick

Bastien Van Wylick is the founder and chief executive of Smile, which he started in April 2023 and where he has also served as project lead. He is based in Brussels.

He holds several concurrent roles: venture builder at Multifounder since April 2026, venture coach at Start it @KBC since August 2025, explorer at BlackBirdsTravel since July 2025, cofounder and venture builder at Rebel since September 2024, cofounder at Commons Hub Brussels since June 2024, and founder of TheChangemakery since January 2020.

Between April 2023 and July 2025 he was entrepreneur in residence on the leadership team at BeCode.org, following a period as social innovation consultant and entrepreneur in residence at Orange, venture builder at Bundl, and entrepreneur in residence at Give a Day. He founded and led Takecare from October 2020 to March 2022, and co-founded IMPACT VALLEY, CITIZENFUND and SHARIFY. Earlier he was head of digital innovation at AbbVie, a digital transformation consultant at Deloitte Digital, lead organiser for Startup Weekend, and co-founder and president of The Seed.

He studied at Haute Ecole Galilée in Brussels and at IHECS, completing a master's in strategy and media coordination in 2010.
