Benoit Soete

Benoit Soete is the COO of Oqcam, a role he took up in May 2024. He is based in Antwerp.

Before joining Oqcam, he spent from November 2020 to May 2024 at Oqton, Inc as business development manager for healthcare. He was at Materialise from September 2014 to December 2019, first as a business developer and in new business innovations, and from February 2017 as business developer for Greater China. Earlier, he was a board member for entrepreneurship at AFC - Academics for Companies from May 2013 to August 2014, and project team lead at AFRICAN DRIVE from November 2012 to June 2013.

Soete studied commercial engineering at KU Leuven, taking a bachelor's degree between 2009 and 2012 and a master's degree between 2012 and 2014, with an Erasmus exchange in environmental economics at Umeå University in 2011 and 2012. From 2018 to 2020 he studied Mandarin at Donghua University.
