Bernd Everaert

Bernd Everaert is the co-founder and CTO of amphistar, based in Gent. He co-founded the company in July 2021.

Before that, he was production manager for fermentation at Algist Bruggeman from January 2019 to January 2021. He spent the preceding years at Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant, where he arrived as a master thesis student in August 2013, became a process engineer in September 2014 and led the bioprocessing team from January 2017 until December 2018.

Everaert studied at Ghent University, completing a Bachelor of Science in bioscience engineering, chemistry and food technology, in 2012 and a Master of Science in bioscience engineering, chemistry and bioprocess technology, in 2014. He attended Koninklijk Atheneum Mariakerke, following the mathematics and science track, from 2003 to 2009.
