Bert Buytaert
Bert Buytaert is the owner of BIG BEAR Studio, a position he has held since July 2023. He is based in Antwerp.
From January 2017 to August 2023 he was zaakvoerder of Arni Designstudio, and between September 2002 and August 2023 he ran Bert Buytaert Freelance Design Services, working in architecture, workshops and art direction. He also lectured in interior design and architecture at Thomas More-hogeschool from September 2018 to September 2020.
Earlier, Buytaert was a senior architectural project designer at Archi.des from 2009 until August 2016. He worked as a production designer at Kanakna Productions from January 2006 to June 2009, and as a 3D animator at 2Frame from 2004 to 2006.
He studied beeldende kunsten at St Lucas from 1991 to 1998, and went on to take a master's degree in audiovisual arts as an animation director at Rits Erasmus hogeschool Brussel, completing it in 2002.
