
Bert Coessens
Bert Coessens is Chief Operating Officer of myNEO Therapeutics, a role he has held since November 2020, and has owned Perifora since November 2018. He is based in Kalmthout.
Between June 2015 and October 2018 he worked at Agilent Technologies, first as Software R&D Manager and then, from March 2017, as Software R&D Director within DGG-Genomics. He co-founded Cartagenia in October 2008, serving as a director until April 2011 and taking responsibility for software R&D until May 2015, and was its managing director from September 2015 to August 2016.
Earlier, he was a postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven from June 2006 to October 2008 and an advisor-coordinator at BioScope-IT from May 2005 to May 2008. He was a PhD student at KU Leuven from September 2001, completing a doctorate in bioinformatics in 2006, having earlier studied bio-engineering and molecular biotechnology at the same university from 1996 to 2001.
