Bert Vandeghinste

Bert Vandeghinste is Head of Software at Molecubes, a company he co-founded, and is based in Gent. He joined the company at its founding in September 2014 as a senior engineer, holding that role until January 2021, when he took up his current position.

His earlier career was at Ghent University, where he was a doctoral researcher from August 2009 to April 2014 and then a postdoctoral researcher from April 2014 to December 2015, overlapping with his first years at Molecubes. He studied at Ghent University throughout, completing a bachelor's degree in informatics in 2007, a master's in computer science engineering with a focus on information and communication technology in 2009, and a PhD in biomedical and medical engineering in 2014.
