Bieke Smits

Bieke Smits is a WES Product Owner at E'Log Automation, based in Gent. She joined the company in November 2023 as a PLC programmer, a role she continues to hold, and took up the product owner position in May 2026.

Before that she was a controls engineer at Shuttleworth from April 2020 to November 2023, and a PLC software engineer at Egemin Automation from August 2016 to April 2020. She worked at Materialise as a student in August 2015.

Smits studied at Ghent University, completing a bachelor's degree in electromechanical engineering technology between 2010 and 2015 and a master's degree in electrical engineering technology in 2016.
