Brecht Kets
Brecht Kets is the co-founder and chief executive of PLAY IT Game based learning, which he started in February 2017. He is based in Harelbeke.
Before that he was at DAE Studios NV, where he was technical director from October 2012 to September 2014 and then managing director until June 2017. He wrote for Packt Publishing between May 2012 and March 2013, and was director of Bug-Initiative from September 2008 to November 2014.
His association with Howest University ran from September 2006, first in R&D and as lead developer, then as a senior lecturer from September 2007 until September 2017. He also lectured at PTI/CVO from January 2007 to June 2008.
Kets studied multimedia and communication technology at HOWEST Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen, graduating in 2006, and took a Master of Arts in Expression in Convergent Media at Gotland University between 2008 and 2012. He attended Koninklijk Atheneum Kortrijk from 1996 to 2002.
