Brian O'Shea is based in Berlin, where he co-founded Decidius in April 2026. Since September 2025 he has also been a venture builder at Carbon13.
From January 2024 to October 2025 he ran Skyphae, which he founded, and between June 2024 and January 2025 he worked as a farm hand at Microcosmo. He joined TIER Mobility in February 2022 as lead mapper and was operations manager there from August 2022 until January 2024. Earlier he was a Youthwise member at the OECD, a clerical officer at the Sports Surgery Clinic, an intern at Gore & Grimes and a legal intern at DORDA Rechtsanwälte GmbH. He founded the Xylem Foundation in 2017, and before that worked as a marketing and launch assistant at Yohgo, a business development intern at FlexHuddle and a referee for the Irish Tag Rugby Association.
O'Shea studied law with economics at University College Dublin, including an Erasmus period at the University of Vienna, and took a Euromaster in urban studies at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, with study at the University of Vienna, the University of Copenhagen and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He also attended a Sciences Po summer school on the French language track.
