
Buvana Lefevre is the founder of Alari Technologies, a company she started in September 2021. She is based in Leuven.
Between August 2018 and June 2020 she worked at Sirris as an engineer in intelligent systems, in a role bridging market and technology. She was a doctoral researcher at KU Leuven from October 2011 to February 2021, and over an overlapping period was a PhD student at imec from October 2011 to February 2017, having been a student intern there from 2010 to 2011. Earlier, from September 2005 to May 2007, she was a project associate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
Lefevre holds a Bachelor of Engineering in electronics and communication from the University of Madras (2000 to 2004) and a Master of Science with a major in photonics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology (2007 to 2009). She followed the Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in Photonics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel from 2009 to 2010, and took the ESADE FS2B programme at Esade in 2011.
