Carlos Guevara Pereira
Carlos Guevara Pereira is COO of Claro, based in Bogotá. He has held the role since February 2023, having spent his career to date at Claro Colombia, where he was Chief Data Officer from July 2018 to December 2023, Engineering Quality and Analytics Manager between January 2017 and July 2018, and manager of network operations from January 2006 to January 2017. Before joining Claro Colombia, he was operations manager at Multielectronica from April 1997 to June 2001.
He studied electronic engineering at Universidad Santo Tomás from 1991 to 1996 and completed a specialisation in engineering management systems, with a focus on project management, at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in 2001 and 2002. He obtained the PMP certification from the Institute of Project Management in 2013, and between June 2021 and December 2022 completed an MBA in business administration and management at EUDE Business School.
