Charles Boutens

Charles Boutens is co-founder and CEO of Uman.ai, a Ghent-based AI sales enablement platform that raised EUR 1.9 million in 2024 with clients including Proximus and DPG Media.

Boutens studied engineering physics at Ghent University and co-founded Uman with CTO Sven Degroote. The platform integrates internal sales data with external sources (company websites, LinkedIn, annual reports) to give B2B sales teams AI-driven content and insights at the right moment. Uman's 2024 funding round was led by Holland Capital with participation from imec and Seeder Fund. The company previously raised EUR 500K in 2020 while still focused on skills mapping before pivoting to sales enablement.
