Chris Michiels
Chris Michiels is Chief Operating Officer of everesst, a position he took up in October 2024, and has owned CASDCo since June 2025. He is based in Lier.
He worked as a principal consultant at Inno.com from 2007 to 2013 and at AE from 2014 to 2024. Over those years he held a series of programme, project and management roles: the "One World" programme at Kinepolis in 2024, the CIAM programme at Mediahuis nv from 2021 to 2024, two spells at VDAB as programme manager and later privacy programme manager, a programme management role at TUI, IT and transformation manager at P&V, delivery manager in the AI division of bpost, and earlier assignments with VAB, Zenito, Port of Antwerp International, Corelio, Digipolis, ING Belgium and Acerta.
Between 1998 and 2007 he served with Belgian Defence, first as Director Web Based Applications, then as lead enterprise architect and finally as Director ICT Architecture.
He holds a Master of Social and Military Sciences from the Royal Military Academy and a Master of Science in ICT Enterprise Architecture from Antwerp Management School and IC Institute, and completed several programmes at Vlerick Business School. He holds a sixth dan, Renshi, in Koryu Karate Jutsu Jissen Ryu.
